This morning, we shared a service for all ages based around the classic hymn, “Peace Like a River.” What do you bring with you into this new church year? Peace? Tears? Strength? Love? A bit of them all? Everyone is invited to celebrate Water Communion and Ingathering, annual Unitarian Universalist traditions that honors beginnings and endings.

This morning was our annual "Blessing of the Backpacks" celebration, honoring parents and students as they return to school! Service led by the Rev. Brian Mason and DRE Jes Zimmer.

In celebration of the church's 151st year, the Rev. Brian Mason presents, from the garden of one of the church's most storied members, a short essay on the history of Universalism in Wausau that tells the story theologically, and from the perspective of church members as documented in newspapers, meetings records, sermons, and scrapbooks. 

This morning, guest speaker Greg Venne led a service on Finding Civil Discourse & storytelling.   Throughout the service, the listeners had the opportunity to break into groups and share stories from their own lives, then come together again for exploring storytelling through song, led by Greg on guitar.

This morning, guest speaker Richard Olson shared, "An Adventure to the Greek Agora," and was joined by special musical guests Ray Kraemer and Louis Pradt.

At the beginning of summer, in UU churches throughout the world, Flower Communion is celebrated. Flower Communion is an annual ritual that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and community. Together we will bless the flowers, our year together, and many more to come. Special music from Margaret Jerz, the UU Wausau Adult Choir, and Louis Pradt.
